Jak to u mnie zadziałało w slackware 11

Slackware 11 – ustawienie polskiej lokalizacji

Trzeba ustawić polską czcionkę oraz klawiaturę zarówno pod konsolą jak i pod środowisku X. W konfiguracji użyłem slaka 11 w pełnej wersji instalacyjnej, jako interfejs graficzny używam xfce.

  1. Ustawiamy konsolę. Wchodzimy do pliku /etc/profile.d/lang.sh i dopisujemy:
    export LANG=pl
    export LC_ALL=pl_PL
    export LESSCHARSET=latin1
  2. Polskie czcionki do X-ów. Wchodzimy do pliku /usr/X11/lib/fonts/misc/fonts.alias i zmieniamy czcionkę fixed nastepująco:
    fixed -misc-fixed-medium-r-semicondensed–13-120-75-75-c-60-iso8859-2
    –zatem kodowanie latin2
  3. Zmiana konfirugacji w pliku xorg.conf (/etc/X11/xorg.conf). Wyszukujemy sekcję odnoszącą się do klawiatury i wrzucamy:
    Option “XkbModel” “pc104”
    Option “XkbLayout” “pl”
    Option “XkbVariant” “pl”
  4. Jeśli jeszcze w tym momencie nie działa polska klawiaturka, to należy dokonać zmiany w /etc/X11/xkbd/symbols/pc/pl i zamienić linijkę xkbd_symbols “basic”na xkbd_symbols “pl”.

Zrobić reset X-ów, ew wylogować się z terminala.
Powinno działać. U mnie działa
