Wyłączenie serwisów (usług) w ubuntu.

Od jakiegoś czasu wszystkie używane dotąd przeze mnie programy do domyślnego uruchamiania i wyłącznania usług przestały działać. Mam na myśli programy typu update-rc.d – ich działanie nic nie zmiania a serwisy startują w najlepsze. Wynika to z zastosowanego w ubuntu upstart….

Są dwa najprostsze wyjścia z problemu:

  1. Należy zmienić nazwę pliku konfiguracyjnego usługi w katalogu /etc/init (np. mv /etc/init/mysql.conf /etc/init/mysql.conf.disable)
  2. Dodać wpis manual na początku pliku konfiguracyjnego: echo “manual” >>/etc/init/mysql.conf
